Gimp-Print for RISC OS settings

User suggestions

The latest version of GPSetup, version 1.09 (available from the downloads page), has the ability to export and import settings files. A settings file defines the options in the main GPSetup window and the colour correction window. This page lists some suggested settings as contributed by users.

The paper type is one of the settings specified in a settings file, but there may be several paper types for which the settings can be used, so the Paper column lists the paper type(s) for which these settings have been found to be useful.

The settings files below are text files, so clicking on one of the files will display it in your browser window. You can save the file to disc by Shift-clicking on the file icon instead. Just to avoid any confusion: Although the table shows a "Gimp-Print" file icon the files should come out as text files on your hard disc and there is no RISC OS file type for Gimp-Print settings files.

The e-mail addresses of the users who contributed the settings files are not displayed in the table, but they usually post to the mailing list so you will find their e-mail addresses there.

Additional settings files are welcome, so if you think you have a particularly good colour correction setup for a specific printer, please send the file to me. Please let me know with which resolution(s) and which paper type(s) you have used these settings.

Canon BJC-7100 600 coated/glossy Settings file Denys Wells
Mostly standard, has a non-standard Yellow value, otherwise the grey square in the test print would be brownish.

Canon BJC-7100 1200x600 glossy Settings file Evan Clark
Quite a few changes from the standard colour correction setup. According to Evan, "just as good as printing using Canon's own drivers on a PC".
